Beginner’s Course
The Sole Sisters beginner’s course is ideal for any ladies who want to start running, but don’t know how to begin.
We have all been there, wanting to run but not knowing how best to start.
If that is you, our fantastic Beginner’s course is ideal – please see the details below.
What is it?
The Sole Sisters beginner’s course is ideal for any ladies who want to start running, but don’t know how to begin.
Two times each year (each course has a limit of 45 people for Health & Safety) we offer a training course for women who wish to start running, have never run before or are returning after a long period of rest/illness/injury
How Does it Work?
We set a realistic training programme, it’s a gradual build-up of mileage.
The course lasts six weeks and at the end you will be able to join one of our regular Sole Sisters groups.
This course should give you all you need to start running again and give you a new found confidence to keep running.
When is the Next One?
The next beginners course starts on 8th January 2024!
First session starts from Baileys Court Activity Centre, Bradley Stoke at 6.15pm – see the Diary page for venues of future sessions. We’d love to hear from you if you would like to join our beginners course: info@solesistersrc.co.uk
£15
How Much Does it Cost?
The course costs £15.00. If you wish to become a full member you can pay the remaining £15.00 during the 6 week course, with this you will receive England Athletic Affiliation, an official Sole Sisters Running Vest and all the benefits the club offers.
After this time membership will be at the standard £30.00. A £1.00 subscription will be payable for each night of attendance once the course has finished.
What do I Need?
If you are joining/running/jogging for the first time, no special kit is required other than a good pair of trainers and a sports bra.
Please remember to bring a drink, wear lightweight clothing and remember on dark evenings high-visibility clothing is advisable. We do advise that if you continue to jog a pair of specialised running shoes and sports bra is essential.
If the weather looks as if you may get wet or is very hot, please bring a change of clothing/shoes and possibly towel for such circumstances.
How to Join?
During the duration of the course, please arrive at the stated venue at 6pm to register and meet the coaches and other beginners, with a view to starting running at 6.15pm.
