Final Beginners Course of 2025
Our final women’s only beginners running course of 2025 is starting on Monday 13th October.
The beginner’s course is a 6-week programme with the aim to get you from 0km (couch) to 5km by the end of the 6 weeks.
It is ideal for any women who want to start their running journey and maybe don’t know where to begin, or quite simply those who just want the support of a group and the club. It’s also a great way to get back into running after a period of rest / illness / injury / maternity.
It’s at 6pm each Monday from the 13th October until Monday Nov 17th. The first venue is Bailey’s Court Activity Centre and then it does change locally each week to provide variety on running routes.
It costs £20 and after you complete the course you have the option to pay the remaining balance to become a club member inclusive of all our club member benefits.
No special kit or equipment is required but we do recommend a good sports bra and a pair of trainers. We also recommend dressing for the weather as this is an outdoors course.
There are plenty of benefits to doing a structured course, such as:
– Running with others for support
– Accountability
– Sessions run by a qualified coach
– Safe running in a group
– People to ask questions to
– Useful running knowledge & tips
– Help with injury prevention
If you’re interested in signing up, please send us an email to info@solesistersrc.co.uk or contact us via our Facebook page or Instagram account.

Membership Fees
The club membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
Full annual Sole Sisters membership is £40.00. You have the option to also choose to be affiliated with England Athletics for an additional £10.00.
We no longer operate with weekly subscription fees - it is now just the set fixed membership cost - so the more you run with club the increased value for your money.
If you are joining part way through the year, from October to March, it is a reduced Sole Sisters membership fee of £20.00.
We are happy to accommodate guest runners to the club for those visiting friends/relatives or travelling UK Athletic members - the first session is free then a small fee of £2 is payable for a second session. Following your second session we ask that you become a member to continue running with us. We do not allow Guest Runners in Beginners.
